Another Trip Around the Sun

For the past month and a half, I have been traveling and visiting chapters across the state, delivering speeches and interacting with members. Each of the banquets I have attended have been unique and while they all contain the same basic parts, like opening ceremonies and greenhand degrees, they all put their own special twist on it. However, one that has been said at every chapter banquet has been the following, read at the end of officer installations:

Spring is in the air and we have had some beautiful weather here in Kansas. One of the things that makes Kansas so special would be the weather and how quickly it can change. Recently living in Hutchinson I have been able to experience all sorts of different weather. Going from a 80 degree day to having snow on the ground the next morning can make life interesting. This change in weather can definitely keep us all on our toes.

Donuts Do More!

Growing up, my church always had coffee, juice, and donuts ready for each person after the service! This is one of my favorite memories as a child. I can remember getting out of church and instantly racing all my friends down the stairs in search of the best and biggest donut! We would all sit around the table and chat while enjoying our weekly sweet treat.

The weather last week was absolutely beautiful. You could definitely tell because as I was walking on K-State campus, everyone looked so bright and happy. This all got me thinking more deeply about FFA week that happened just recently and all the incredible members, ag teachers, national officer, national staff, and community members (the list goes on and on) that I met.
