PLAINVILLE, Kan. – Heartland Regional Stockyards, Inc., in partnership with the Kansas FFA Foundation, is proud to announce the 4th Annual FFA Special Sale, set for Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at the Heartland Regional Stockyards facility in Plainville, Kansas.
The day will begin with a weigh-up sale at 9:00 a.m., followed by a feeder calf and yearling calf sale at noon. Producers attending the sale are invited to enjoy a complimentary meal immediately following the weigh-up sale.
This year, both buyers and sellers will have the opportunity to donate $1 per head (or more) to the local Kansas FFA chapter of their choice. To further amplify the impact of these contributions, Heartland Regional Stockyards will match all per-head donations with a contribution to the Kansas FFA Foundation, supporting FFA members at both the local and state levels. Last year’s sale raised more than $10,000 for Kansas FFA and participating local chapters, highlighting the strong support of the agricultural community and the meaningful difference this event continues to make.
The FFA Special Sale was initiated by Brandon Hamel and Lloyd Schneider of Heartland Regional Stockyards, reflecting their ongoing commitment to strengthening Kansas FFA at both the state and local levels.
“FFA continues to be one of the most valuable youth organizations for high school students,” said Schneider. “Through agricultural education, students gain skills that extend far beyond the classroom—leadership, communication, and business experience among them. We’re excited to once again partner with the Kansas FFA Foundation for the 4th annual special sale and invest in the future of agriculture.”
Johanna Anderes, with the Kansas FFA Foundation, expressed appreciation for the continued support from Heartland Regional Stockyards. “The dedication shown by Heartland Regional Stockyards plays a vital role in strengthening Kansas FFA and its local chapters,” Anderes said. “When agriculture leaders come together to support FFA, it creates lasting opportunities for our members. Previous sales have made a meaningful difference across the state, and we look forward to building on that success in 2026.”
