“FFA quickly became a big part of who I am when I entered High School. The organization provided opportunities for a shy girl to become comfortable stepping out of her comfort zone, speak in front of groups of individuals, and become and advocate for agriculture. FFA has shaped me into the hardworking, dedicated individual I am today. As a state officer, I hope to help members find their place in an organization that I get to call home.”

“Embodying leadership in FFA is more than just a title or a task. It’s a true commitment to growing the other leaders in agriculture that are surrounding you. This commitment for me is my purpose: to serve Kansas FFA members to the best of my ability. Even though I wasn’t raised in production agriculture, FFA gave me a seat at the table of belonging and community. It is my mission to make room for our 13,500+ members at my table! Kansas FFA is an incredible support system that I am beyond proud to serve for the next year and years to come.”

When I first stepped into my school’s agricultural classroom at the beginning of my 8th grade year, I knew that this would be my home away from home. From serving as a chapter officer to competing in multiple CDE and LDE’s I acquired several different leadership traits, one of those being advocacy. Serving as a state officer allows me to be an advocate for Kansas FFA, as well as the agricultural industry. I hope that I can leave an impact on members from across the state and help them become future advocates for this industry many of us call home.

Growing up on my family farm, agriculture was my world. Being a 12-year member of 4-H and later joining FFA, my connection to the agriculture deepened. FFA became a crucial part of my journey, helping me discover my true passion within agriculture and providing me with the skills and support to pursue it. I’m grateful for the foundation laid by past agriculturists and excited to see what the future has to hold!”
