BLASTOFF INTO A BUSY YEAR

Mission Control announces successful Chapter Leadership Trainings

[MANHATTAN, KS, July 30, 2025—] Launching Leaders, 2025 Chapter Leadership Training (CLT) had three liftoff dates: July 1 & 2 (Hays), 7 & 8 (El Dorado), and 9 & 10 (Topeka). It is safe to say that “the eagle has landed,” after 25 chapter officer/leadership teams (approximately 200 participants) attended the launch sequence planning sessions.

Hays CLT chapters: Norton, Logan, WaKeeney, Hugoton, Hodgeman County, Holcomb, Stanton County, Norwich, Sedan, South Barber, and Labette County

Hello, I am Lillian (Lilly) Hulse, one of six vital members of “Mission Control.” I am writing this press release on behalf of the Kansas FFA State Officer Team to inform the public about fantastic leaders that are guiding chapters across the state for the year to come.

El Dorado CLT chapters: Sedgwick, Buhler, Herington, Flinthills, Arkansas City, Perry-Lecompton, and Osage City

“Houston, we have a leader!” At each training, members (cadets) prepared for a year of personal growth and chapter development with Ally and I. With Bricen and Dustin, they brainstormed events and planned their Program of Activities. Servant leadership is at the forefront of each leader’s mind after the conclusion of Marisa and Maggie’s powerful “Living to Serve” session.

The participating chapters also collected over 600 canned goods and toiletry items, in total, for local food banks at each of the locations, making a difference at their space stations and the entire universe!

Topeka CLT chapters: Ell-Saline, Junction City, Onaga, Sabetha, Holton, Jefferson West, and Louisburg

Each and every CLT can be described by our predecessor Neil Armstrong’s famous words, “One small step for chapters, one giant leap for Kansas FFA.” That’s at least what I remember him saying… Thank you to all who attended, it was a pleasure to get to know every cadet! If you were not able to take part, please consider it for next year.

Mission Control would also like to extend a special gratitude towards Cargill and McDonald’s for their continuous support of Kansas FFA and leaders across the state!

“This was Lilly Hulse, Mission Control, Over.”
